Whether you have a roommate account or not, all matching listing's will be visible to you while browsing. All members will be able to contact other members. However, only paying members can read the response and reply to messages received. Here is more information: If You Don't Have An Account You will be unable to contact any listed member. Since you are not listed, other people will not be able to browse for you. Basic Membership The Basic membership gives you the ability to contact any member (Send them e-mails). However, if the person of interest responds, you will be unable to read the response. You will only have access to the e-mail header (not the message body). The header includes the following information: The sender The delivery date Whether the person is interested or not The Basic membership can automatically send you up to 8 potential matching roommates to your supplied e-mail address each day. This service does an EXACT match. If no matching roommates are in our system, no e-mails will be sent. The Basic membership is FREE! Please note: The Basic membership expires when ANY of the following occur You remove your account. Your account has been terminated by our staff (A written e-mail will follow any termination). Paying Membership (Any Duration) The paying membership gives you the ability to contact any member (Send them e-mails), read any responses, and reply. The paying membership gives you higher search results ranking. There is a one-time fee for the paying membership (listed on the entry form) which is non-refundable. Please note: The paying membership expires when ANY of the following occur You remove your account. Your account has been terminated by our staff (A written e-mail will follow any termination). The duration expires. Listing Your Information/Creating An Account Listing your information should be very simple. From the home page, click the "Roommates" tab at the top of the page. Click the "Roommates" link/button. Click the "Post A Listing" link (You may also click the "Add Listing" link from any of the pages) Follow the 4 easy-to-use forms. Please remember your password. The password is case sensitive and used for account maintenance and browsing listings. If you forget your password contact our staff at: denver_password@apartmentsandroommates.com. Once your account is saved, it is placed in "Pending" status. You will receive a confirmation/activation e-mail immediately after saving your account. The e-mail contains a link that you must click to activate your account. If you have not received the confirmation e-mail within 15 minutes of you saving your account, please contact our staff. Please note that our systemonly validates that the information entered meets the system requirements. We do NOT guarantee that the information entered is factual. Please note that by listing yourself, you allow others to send e-mails to the e-mail address you supply. However, this e-mail address will not be displayed. If we are informed that a particular individual is abusing this service, their contract will be terminated without refund, and the appropriate authorities will be notified. If you have chosen a feature which has an associated fee, you must complete the saving process before those services are available. If you do not complete the secure payment form, your services will not be active. To enable any of the features after your account has been created, you must update your account, and choose the features that you desire. Updating Your Information/Upgrading Your Account Updating your information should be very simple. Once your account has been activated, you may update your information as often as you like. There is no charge for updating you account. From the home page, click the "Roommates" tab at the top of the page. Click the "Roommates" link/button. Click the "Member Login" link. Enter your e-mail address and password in the supplied fields and select the "Manage Account" choice in the list box. Please remember that your password IS case sensitive. Change any allowed field in the form. If you are activating or de-activating your listing, the effect will take place immediately. By de-activating your listing, your listing will not be available for others to find. Fill out the forms as you did when you created your account. All forms must be completed before your account is updated. If all forms have been successfully completed, your changes take place immediatelly. Removing Your Account To PERMANENTLY remove your account from the directory, update the status of your account to "Marked For Removal". Once your status change has been confirmed, you must contact our staff within one business day to reverse its effects. After that, your account information is permanently removed from the database. No refunds, other than the ones defined in the refund policy, will be given for intentional/accidental removal of your account. Account Status Deffinitions Here is a list of all status values and their meanings: Active An active account signifies that others can find your listing during a search. In-Active An In-Active account signifies that others can NOT find your listing during a search. However, Gold members will continue to receive daily e-mails of potential matches. Marked For Removal If you mark your account for removal (by updating your account), you have requested to be permanently removed from the directory. An automated process runs daily to remove all accounts marked for removal. Your account will be removed from our system the next time this process runs. Viewing/Browsing Other Listings Viewing the database of roommates is easy. From the home page, click the "Roommates" tab at the top of the page. Click the "Roommates" link/button. If you have an account, click the "Member Login" link. Fill out your e-mail address and password, and choose the "Review Listings" choice in the list box. Otherwise, click the "Review Listings" link (If you did not log in, you will be unable to contact our other members) Choose the desired roommate gender, age range, and type of roommate you are looking for. Please note the password field IS case sensitve. Sort the listings by clicking any of the heading links (Gender, City, Age, ...). Click the page number links to navigate. To view details about the person of interest, click the "detail" link in the left hand column of the person you are interested in. To contact the listee by e-mail, click the listee's corresponding link on the details page. Search Results Explained To browse for a roommate, you'll enter your criteria and click the "Submit" button. At that point you'll be brought to a page with potential matches. Here is an explanation of how the results are displayed. Sort Order Many of the column headings on the results page have a link that you can click. By clicking the link you are stating that you want to sort the results by that column. If you sort by a column heading, the listings are first ordered alphabetically by the column you selected. Paid Members (GREEN Links) All paying members are listed next (All paid members are listed in a GREEN font). For example, if you have sorted your output by City Name, the results will be displayed alphabetically by City Name with paid members being listed first. List Date The last sort field is by date. To continue the above example, the results would be displayed alphabetically by City Name with paid members listed first (the paid members would be listed by date, newest first), followed by the non-paying members (the non-paying members would be listed by date, newest first). Passwords If you have forgotten your password, please go to the password request form. If you do not receive your password within 3 hours after filling out the request form, and you did not encounter any errors, please notify our staff at: denver_password_problems@apartmentsandroommates.com. We are not responsible for stolen passwords. Please make make your password non-trivial (use numbers, symbols, mixed case, etc.), and change it often. We are not responsible for ANY unauthorized use of your account; and no refunds will be given if unauthorized charges are incurred. Regular password maintenance is strongly recommended to help avoid this potential problem. We accept Visa or Mastercard payments for any fees incurred by our customers. We use Authorize Net to authorize the credit card transaction. All transactions are performed on Authorize Net's secure site. For your protection, we DO NOT store/maintain any credit card information. If your credit card has been successfully authorized, Authorize Net will send you an e-mail regarding the transaction. Please keep this e-mail as a form of receipt/payment. Security Features This site was designed to allow people to find roommates without exposing personal information. There are several security mechanisms integrated into the site, as well as some external security features. Method of Contact This site requires the contactee and contactor have valid accounts (A visitor must establish an account in order to contact other members). You can feel secure in knowing that all established contacts are from other validated members. This site only requires a valid e-mail address for contact information (which is never displayed to any visitor). You can be reassured that your phone number, or any other form of personal information is never leaked. Our system has a proprietary method of contacting members. While our method of contact is via e-mail, the sender will never know your e-mail address. The proprietary method never exposees the e-mail address (the only form of contact information we require) to anyone. This site never displays your last name on any page. Secure Payment This site has teamed up with one of the leading experts in internet billing, Authorize.net. They have been in the business for many years and have one of the most secure internet billing systems in place, including Address Verification Systems and Fraudulent Credit Card Detection. Finding An Apartment/Property Browse our on-line listings, or have one of our consultants help you find your next place FOR FREE! If you wish to have one of our consultants find your next home FOR FREE From the home page, click the "Find An Apartment" link. Click the "Help Me Find A Place" link. Fill out the information on the form. Then click the "Submit" button. Your information will be forwarded immediately to one of our consultants. You should hear from someone in the next business day. If you wish to browse on your own... From the home page, click the "Find An Apartment" link. View the on-line list of properties. To display detailed information, click the "View Details" link next to the property you are interested in. To get more information from the property directly, click the "Contact Property" link, and fill out the form. Availability On occasion, this site will be unavailable for use. You will see a bulletin on the home page two weeks prior to any planned outage. In the case of an emergency outage, a message will be displayed on the home page once the system becomes available. We try to provide an average availabilty of 98%.
